The Verano Group began in 2013 and officially launched in 2014. Today, it’s a different company. And for this reason, we’re excited to introduce a (small, but delightful!) change in our business branding: The Verano Group is now Verano!
Several months ago, it became clear that our website no longer reflected the business or the brand and culture we were working hard as a team to create. We should have known what was ahead of us—we’ve worked with dozens of clients through this exact scenario—but changing our website peeled off just a tiny sliver of our branding project.
We originally tackled our new content with the website in mind, but we scrapped those notes when we realized that we were doing exactly the opposite of what we coach our clients to do. So, we went back to step one. We started at the very beginning and rebuilt our service structure, our core messaging, and our impact statements. We stayed true to the company’s mission and we used the company’s values as pillars for decisions, but we added in the personality, ambition, and goals of today’s Verano.
Our reflection uncovered an interesting trend that our clients defined for us—most of our clients referred to our team, collectively, as Verano. They naturally shortened our business name from The Verano Group to Verano in emails and conversation. And, when we noticed it, we loved it!
It’s a small and, to some, insignificant change. But to us, it’s a new chapter. A more defined company that has vision, direction, and dreams. We’ve shrugged off the extra, tightened up the core, and freshened up our website, social, and branding elements—and we’re excited about taking this refresh and running with it.
