Our Mission Statement was created intentionally and strategically. It’s the foundation of our brand story and is always at the forefront of our minds in every project we work on.
Many of our clients come to us to create their own brand foundation. But we can’t simply pull that out of thin air. We have to listen to you and engage in a two-way conversation to make that happen. That’s why we had to include this week’s feature in our Mission Statement:
“We stand for talking with our customers, not talking to them.”
Being talked at is never fun, no matter if it’s coming from a friend, family member, coworker, or boss. And while it might make the talker feel important, the listener is left feeling overwhelmed and, if you’re like me, easily distracted…and eventually bored. In these situations, I find myself wanting to run far, far away.
We communicate with one another to create connections, not to be on the receiving end of a long-winded rant. Yes, we at Verano have a lot to say (We are content creators after all). But I promise to never lecture you in a two-hour Clarity session or demand “my way or the highway” in your Next-Level Solutions package. Instead, we’ll work together with true collaborative partnership and open communication to connect with your brand story.
This conversation sounds exciting for some and challenging for many. If you’re like several of our clients, you might have a hard time getting the conversation started. Saying anything about your business can seem nearly impossible. I know, it seems counterintuitive, but sometimes the closer you are, the further you feel. It’s as if you know your story so well that you can’t explain it to others who don’t.
In these situations, I often hear, “Why can’t you just tell me what to say?” Sorry, but we’ll never put words in your mouth.
We want to figure out who you really are and why what you’re doing matters. We want to tell the real – and right – story, not our interpretation of yours. It’s our job to draw out the real story and reinvigorate your passion for your business, not create it ourselves.
Our sessions are the time to share honest opinions and express any concerns to establish and work with your brand foundation. In every session, you can expect the Verano team to listen to understand, rather than listen to respond. We promise to consider every possibility as we seek to understand. And though we don’t always support every statement, we’ll bring exceptional empathy and plenty of “yes, and’s.” When you add Verano to your team, you add an extension of your business, rather than a creative group that functions separately from you. We will talk with you, not to you.
